An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country at Osberton International – find out more here
Thousands of spectators are expected to descend on Nottinghamshire’s Osberton International Horse & Driving Trials from 28th September – 1st October with equestrian stars, dog shows and fun for all the family.
Each year the Nottinghamshire estate welcomes upwards of 5,000 visitors, over four-days, to watch some of the world’s top equestrian athletes compete across the Osberton Estate. It is an ideal chance to see some of the Olympic, World and European medallists, and other stars of eventing, at close quarters
And this year the event will turn purple in support of BEDE Event’s annual charity, Riders Minds.
Wear purple for Riders Minds
Friday 29th September will host a range of additional initiatives aimed at raising increased funds for the charity that supports the mental health and well-being of all horse riders, drivers, and equestrians.
The Riders Minds Quiz will take place on Friday evening, from 6.30pm, and offers a £100 bar tab, courtesy of British Polo Gin, for the winning team. Tickets are £10 per team with all proceeds going to the charity. Purple themed cocktails will be on offer throughout the evening, with a donation for every drink sold going to Riders Minds.
Following the conclusion of the charity quiz a Robbie Williams Tribute act will perform live to enable eventers, drivers, and their connections to party to the early hours.
Riders and attendees are also encouraged to wear something purple during the Friday of the event, to help raise awareness of the charity’s work.
Fun for all the family
The Osberton Estate will also play host to four days of countryside fun for all the family. An interactive Kids Zone, Gundog Display, Lurcher Racing and much more provide some of the supporting entertainment.
Once again Osberton will also be playing host to the Bennington Carriages National Carriage Driving event where leading drivers from across the country will pit their prowess as they drive at speed through winding obstacles and take on the Estate’s new Marathon course. To experience the thrill of Marathon Driving, ensure you book your Car Pass for Sunday 1st October.
Rideside Falconry and Little Nippers join the line up to put on a fast-paced Lurcher racing display, with a large dose of audience participation. If that wasn’t enough canine action, Gundog Girls Brand will be running a have-a-go scurry with prizes up for grabs in both morning and afternoon sessions. Think your pooch has got what it takes to become top dog?
The event is dog friendly, with organisers BEDE Events respectfully asking that dogs are all kept firmly on leads and with a responsible handler and offers local spectators the chance to explore this picturesque, private estate, whilst soaking up the electric atmosphere of an international equestrian event.
There is all the fun of the fair with bouncy castle and slide, fairground attractions galore and even an undercover Kids Zone, that supports the Bluebell Woods Children’s Hospice, with plenty of activities to keep the little ones occupied.
To attend the event simply book Car Parking which includes entry to all occupants. Tickets are available from £15 per car
