Francis and Hope Over Experience - winners of the Open Novice
Francis Whittington had three lovely horses competing in the Novice at Chilham (1) on the weekend and Francis has high hopes for all three of them
The eight year old Hope Over Experience won the Novice Open at his first event of the season, leading the dressage on 27.8 and adding just one rail and 0.4time penalties on the cross country and he was joined on the podium by his stable mate DHI Fiktor Nita (even Francis had to check how to pronounce that!) in third place in the Novice Section P on his dressage score of 30.3
It could have been a trifecta for Francis with Excellent R in second place after the dressage and show jumping but a stop at the coffin dropped them out of contention. It was still a very good day at the office for Francis who now heads to Tattersalls, Chatsworth and Saumur with the big guys
