The inaugural Goresbridge Tattersalls Ireland Select Event Horse Sale held on Thursday evening at Tattersalls International Horse Trials and Country Fair welcomed a huge contingent of eventing and equestrian enthusiasts who witnessed auction of 15 potential young event horses who went through a rigorous selection process by Sally Parkyn and Lt. Col. Brian McSweeney (ret.) to gain their place in the catalogue.
The highlight of the evening came from Lot 10, Master Class Ramiro, a four-year-old gelding by Ramiro B who was consigned by Jason Higgins. The talented gelding was the subject of a bidding duel between Oliver Townend and Chris Gould and is was the latter that came away as the successful purchaser on the evening signing the docket at €49,000.
A further eight horses (total of nine) were sold on the evening at an aggregate of €209,500and an average of €23,278.
