Sophie Brown and Roscommon Dancer
It was a big day for Sophie Brown on Friday; after 10 years of competing her horse Roscommon Dancer she finally scored a win in the BE90 at Kelsall Hill with a personal best dressage score of 21.5. It was also a special win for Neil Fox who has returned from eventing after a seven year break to win at just his second event back on a recently purchased horse, Tradhearg Cool Joules.
In view of Neil’s break from eventing, he can be forgiven for incurring an error of course in the dressage which he took with good humour
“I was trotting round thinking ‘this is very nice’ when the judge pipped the horn and got out of the car - I thought she was going to congratulate me on how lovely my trot was!”

In fourth place in the BE90 Section F was Francesca Fitzherbert on MGH April who put in a lovely clear show jumping round (below) before also jumping a double clear on cross country
