The rolling parkland of Cirencester Park will welcome back eventing riders in March 2020, the first time that an affiliated Horse Trials has run on the Bathurst Estate since 1973

The new 2020 fixture replaces another Gloucestershire event, Gatcombe Horse Trials, which ran their last two events, the Spring Horse Trials and Gatcombe International in 2019. While Gatcombe International will be replaced by Cornbury Park in September, Cirencester Park has taken the March dates

As with all venues that run early season events, the ground conditions and soil type are important to ensure good going in March, and Cirencester Park offers strengths in both along with exciting new cross country courses designed by Alec Lochore of Musketeer Event Management, the organiser of many of Britain’s top eventing competitions

With its location close to that of Gatcombe Park, it is expected that many of the Gloucestershire ‘regulars’ will be making an appearance at the new Cirencester Park event, promising some great eventing for spectators as well as riders

Let's hope we get great weather that Gatcombe (1) enjoyed last year when local rider and Team GB regular Kitty King won the Open Intermediate Section M riding Ceylor LAN
