Up and coming star Franky Reid-Warrilow and Dolley Whisper lead the Superflex CIC3* on a score of 44 after the first day of dressage at the NAF Hartpury Horse Trials.
The 2015 CIC2* Individual European Champion and member of the British silver medal winning Nations Cup team at Strzegom this year is being chased by Australia’s Paul Tapner and Bonza King of Rouges in second place on 45.8 and another rising young star, Willa Newton riding Neelix in third on 47
Harvey Wet Dog was at Hartpury capturing some of the dressage including Franky and Dolley Whisper’s test
Amelia Walker riding Director General leads the Magic CCI2* with a score of 44.7 Andrew Nicholson riding Yacabo BK in second place on 47.1. Jonty Evans, still on cloud nine from retaining his top horse Cooley Rorkes Drift thanks to a fantastic crowd funding campaign, is hot on his heels in third place on Clara M with 47.7.
Andrew is also in 10th place currently on Andrea BT4 in the Recover CCI* which is led by Chloe Lynn on Calzini with a score of 43.4. Mark Ford and Mintridge Larkspur currently sit in second place on 45.8 whilst Lizzie Baugh and B Exclusive are third on 45.9.
The remaining riders in each class complete their dressage tests today before this weekend’s jumping action on Saturday and Sunday. New cross country courses feature this year, designed by Eric Winter (CIC3*) and Angus Smales (CCI1* and CCI2*) which will add to the challenge faced by the riders
