This weekend you’ll find our cross country video teams filming at both the Cooke Coachbuilders Skipton Horse Trials (1) in North Yorkshire and at Keysoe (2) in Bedfordshire
Skipton's cross country has been undergoing extensive redesign since 2011 and, as part of their continued development and reinvestment strategy they have commissioned a brand new BE80T for 2018 which is specifically designed to provide an educational experience for both horse and rider. This course will take advantage of the beautiful hills and natural features of Funkirk Farm and there will be subtle changes to the other courses at BE80, BE90, BE100 and Novice levels to provide new challenges and variety.
The gently undulating track has amazing views over the Yorkshire Dales and runs over pasture land and the weather is set to be very pleasant, especially on Sunday, making for a great weekend’s eventing
Meanwhile a little further south we are also filming at Keysoe (2) at The College Equestrian Centre in Bedfordshire, which recently announced major upgrades to the Centre, and is also hosting classes from BE80 (T) to Novice this weekend
The cross country course, designed by Angus Smales, will have significant changes to the tracks used in May, so the two events will feel very different but, as always, there will be a mix of fixed and portable fences and strong questions will have an alternative
