The British Eventing Fixtures list for 2025 has been unveiled with some firm favourites in their usual spots, returns to the calendar for various venues and a few changes to accommodate weather impact in the early part of the season.
One of the early season changes will be at Oasby (1), which will now run over just two days on 6th & 7th March but will also offer another fixture Oasby (2) for BE80 to BE100 competitors over the Easter weekend (18th & 19th April) as well as Oasby (3) later in the season. BEDE Events will also host the first International of the British season at Thoresby Park from 27th – 30th March.
Barbury Castle makes a welcome return to the calendar, replacing the Cirencester Park (1) fixture from 21st – 23rd March, while Cirencester Park (1) will now run from 25th – 27th April.
The Chatsworth fixture, which has come out of the calendar for 2025 while they re-evaluate their options, has been replaced by Belsay, who will offer the same FEI and National classes on 17th & 18th May while Bicton Arena will host the British leg of the Nations Cup in 2025, previously hosted by Chatsworth, from 22nd – 25th May.
The Grassroots Championships at BE90 and BE100 levels will be held at Badminton on 6th & 7th May and Bramham once again hosts the BE80 Championships (3rd – 5th June) before Bramham International (5th – 8th June), which sees Andrew Heffernan take over the course design from Ian Stark in 2025.
Bishop Burton International (24th – 27th July) will be a highlight on the calendar for Young Rider and Juniors, with the BE100 U18, CCI2* YR and Junior Championships running from 24th – 27th July and Hartpury International will once again incorporate the British Championships from 7th – 10th August at Hartpury University and College in Gloucestershire
2024 saw the last ever event at Blair Castle in Scotland, including the Scottish Grassroots Championships, but the nearby Scone Palace will take over the big Scottish fixture, running their inaugural event from 21st – 24th August 2025.
Cornbury International (11th – 14th September) will host the British Young Horse Championships and of course a highlight of the year will be the European Championships at Blenheim Palace International from 18th – 21st September, which will also run its usual 8/9 Year Old Championships.
