The FEI Dressage & Eventing European Championships for Young Riders and Juniors 2020, which was to have run from 27th July at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire, have been cancelled, along with the annual International Horse Trials in August
“Due to the ongoing situation with Covid-19 we have unfortunately made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s NAF Hartpury Festival of Dressage, NAF International Hartpury Horse Trials and the FEI Dressage & Eventing European Championships for Young Riders and Juniors 2020” say the organisers of these high profile events
“We are extremely disappointed not to be running any of these competitions in 2020 but feel this is the best decision in the current circumstances. The health of staff, volunteers, officials, competitors and visitors to Hartpury is a priority at this time as well as reducing any strain placed on the NHS”
“We are currently working with the FEI to look at the possibility of running a European Championships in the next few years. Our provisional 2021 dates for the Festival of Dressage and International Horse Trials in 2021 are 7th - 11th July and 11th - 15th August respectively. We will be in touch again once these dates have been confirmed and have received an update from the FEI regarding the championships”
