Niklas and Mister Pooh competing at Aachen 2014
Niklas Lindbäck, one of Sweden’s best known eventing riders is to coach in Victoria for one day only in November. Niklas has represented Sweden on various occasions including the 2012 London Olympic Games where the Swedish team placed fourth and the 2013 European Championships where Sweden won silver and Niklas was placed fourth individually.
The clinic will be held on the beautiful 100 acre property of Sara Madden at 360 Old Moorooduc Road, Teurong on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. The private property offers the perfect facilities for the cross country training (in groups of three or four), show jumping (two riders per session) and 30 minute private dressage sessions are also available
Australian based rider Catarina Queckfeldt Luczak is organising the clinic, having trained with Niklas in Sweden. Riders of all levels are welcome and riders with young horses will find the clinic particularly beneficial; Niklas has won the Young Horse World Championships at Le Lion d’Angers twice and ‘has got a great working philosophy with young horses’ says Catarina
“It is great training with Niklas because he tries to make everything as uncomplicated at possible, encouraging the horse and rider to trust each other.
Obviously he has got a great experience on the international competition scene but, unlike many other international riders, he does everything himself and is very approachable. He doesn't have a stable full of staff, but rides the horses, does their feed and cleans their boxes himself.
What many people might not know is that he is also a farrier and shoes all his horses himself - he is a great farrier!! I am so excited that he is coming out to share some of his training methods with Australian riders”
Places are limited and at this stage Niklas will only be in Victoria for one day on Sunday 2nd November 2014 so make sure you send you booking form in as soon as possible to secure a place
