At the final press conference at Les Etoiles de Pau, won by New Zealand’s Jonelle Price, she was asked if this result would now dislodge her husband Tim from the World Number One spot
Jonelle responded it was unlikely, and she was correct, as the latest FEI World Rankings as at 30th October now show
New Zealand’s Tim Price remains the World Number One on 557 points with Jonelle still in second place on 519 points, but Britain’s Ros Canter has jumped up to third (509 points), ahead of Britain’s Oliver Townend (497 points), the long-time World Number One, now ranked fourth
The USA’s Will Coleman remains in fifth place (460 points) and the new World Champion Yasmin Ingham has moved up from eighth to sixth place (434 points)
Tim and Jonelle Price have had a dream autumn season with Tim winning at Maryland CCI5* and Boekelo CCI4*-L and Jonelle winning the CCI5* at Les Etoiles de Pau but past World Champion Ros Canter, has also been busy
Although she withdrew Rehy Royal Diamond from Pau on the final day after passing the final horse inspection, her growing team of talented young horses have been helping move her up the leader board with wins and placings at all international levels
Australia has two riders in the top 50 with Shane Rose making it into the top 20 in 20th place on 301 points (despite not many opportunities for runs in Australia with the recent rain and floods in major competition areas) and Andrew Hoy in 47th place on 215 points
