Sonja and Parkiarrup Illicit Liaison (Ben) - the horse with the perfect metabolism!
Sonja Johnson is busy with her sheep on the family property in Western Australia as she prepares to get Parkiarrup Illicit Liaison to the other side of Australia before boarding a flight to the UK and eventually Normandy.
Sonja is one of six riders selected for the Australian eventing team and she is a rider with plenty of experience at Championship level, including team bronze in Aachen in 2006 (although she admits this wasn’t her finest hour, with a fall on cross country resulting in broken ribs) and team silver from the Beijing Olympics in 2008
“I’m very prepared but I’m not feeling bullet proof which is probably a good thing” she says as she tells us about her preparations to head to France
