A year never to forget ...

Stuart and Celebration at Wallaby Hill

A BIG thank you to our sponsors, owners, staff and friends for what has been a year never to forget ...

We are always so grateful for your amazing, continued support for Tinney Eventing and our team of horses.

Come along for the ride

With the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games looming we are set for a vigorous campaign and we love that you will all be with us for the 'ride’!

A productive, positive start to 2021 will take shape with events and selections. Our front runner Celebration (Charlie), owned by Elisabeth Brinton, has had very competitive scores, on a par with others on the world stage of eventing, and is a solid and consistent horse. Our own Leporis (Leo) is also a forerunner and is stepping up to Charlie's successes.

We are all focused and resolute including Gemma who is pursuing her qualifications for Tokyo 2021, the World Games 2022 and Paris Olympics 2024! Her horses, Tim Game’s Diabolo, our own Dalenna Daydream (DD), Be My Daisy (Daisy) and Wanda. She has an amazing string of horses for the future.

Thank you!

Thank you to Tim Game for your 25+ years of support, the continued support of the Blair/Wheller family and of course, Elisabeth Brinton. You are ALL awesome and we love having you with us and your horses.

To our sponsors – Bates, Ceva, Coprice and Horseland - again you have been here for us for over 20 years and you never let us or our horses down. Ecomist and Proteq are essential in our yard as well as Equestrian Australia, for your insight, future goals and motivation to represent AUSTRALIA. This whole team, we are so grateful you are with us.

Wallaby Hill 3DE - the event, the tumble, followed by the ribbons!

Wallaby Hill 3DE was our last big event of the year with Elisabeth Brinton’s Celebration finishing second in the CCI4*-L

Elisabeth certainly has an eye for a superstar! Charlie as he is known, is a character who oozes talent... with a sub 30 dressage, clear and clear in the jumping phases, he just keeps on giving us the international scores we need, plus results. His second place in the CCI4*-L adds to his good results and his selection for Tokyo Olympics is looking solid and certainly a possibility.

Leporis (Leo) did a super test for an early draw, producing a sub-30 score and he was super all weekend. He was fast and easy on cross country, sadly took one rail in the show jumping, which is unusual for him, but that's the game we are in! He finished third in the CCI4*-L

Gemma had an exciting event! 'DD' made a small error at the third last fence (her only error but certainly Gemma did not come off so well) with a mis-judgement on her part, brushing the top rail and spitting Gemma out. Unfortunately, Gemma was in the wrong place as she fell and, as 'DD' stumbled to regain her balance, she caught Gemma's helmet peak and nose

It was a minor fall but resulted in a broken nose :( Her Miss Sam shield did its job, as all helmets should.

Gemma went onto ride 'Daisy' after a strict medical assessment plus clearance from Wallaby Hill's medical team. The doctor and medics were on the scene within minutes to assist and follow protocol for such a fall. It was great work on their part - very impressive and thorough.

Gemma went on to finish in second place in the CCI3*-L with 'Daisy'

See you in 2021

We are now taking some time out for a few weeks to restore, repair and enjoy the festive season with friends and family.

We hope that COVID does not impact you too much over this period. We must look towards a brighter 2021, leave 2020 behind us and thank those who have continued to protect us during the 'ANNUS HORRIBILIS' of 2020 …..

Cherish each other...

 Cheers

The Tinneys
