Time for a rest and re-build

Stuart and Dalenna Daydream (DD) at Wallaby Hill Extravaganza

With 2021 well behind us, we have re-grouped, set a new path forward, and we’re looking towards a brand-new eventing season in 2022 (without the rain and floods hopefully)

The Tokyo Olympic Games left us pondering, reflecting on the riches we have had in the past 30 years in the sport of Eventing. Stuart has represented Australia countless times and we always have worked tirelessly towards the next World Championships, or the next Olympic Games, so we’ve decided that some time off from these stresses will be welcome.

As Leporis has been sold to a home in the UK, Celebration (Charlie) is now heading to Florida (via EU) to be with his owner Elisabeth Brinton, the Blair Wheelers Sir Pepper (Pepper) has been sold to New Zealand, and our own 'Be my Daisy' is being campaigned by Shane Rose, it is certainly time to thank our owners for their wonderful support throughout our journey. We wish Charlie and Pepper a very successful and happy career with their new owners

We have been here before with less horsepower, so its time to rebuild over the next few years and see what comes our way! For now however we will focus on Gemma and Tim Game's Diabolo. Gemma's plans are to stay on our shores for the Sydney International Three Day Event in May and the Melbourne International 3 Day Event in June then head to England to do some events and see what eventuates :)

Stuart’s focus for now is on Cross Country Course Design, as well as preparing his new team of horses.

As a part of that, Stuart will take the reins of Helen Shaw's 'French Fizz' for the start of the season until the mare leaves for the UK in June. And we have already found a stunning new horse, bought from Victoria - a lovely bay gelding by Copabella Visage called Viennese, beautifully started by Erin Callahan (thank you Erin!).

We are very excited to see how this partnership evolves with Stuart and, as he is already a 2* horse, Stuart will be competing him at Tamworth International this weekend (26th/27th March)

There has not been much to report on the competition front as yet, but a nice little run around at Wallaby Hill Extravaganza saw a couple of blue ribbons for Gemma (Diabolo) and Stuart (Dalenna Daydream)

It is also great news that Gemma has been listed on the EA High Performance NEXT GENERATION SQUAD.  Congratulations to all that have been listed.

Easter is almost here  and yet AGAIN Stuart and Gemma will ride in the exhibition class at the Sydney Royal Show. It is always good fun and a great atmosphere. If you would like some entertainment on 12th April (5pm) ,17th April 5pm or 18th April 4.30pm you can see father/daughter show their competitive sides!!
