September News from Tinney Eventing

Eventing is certainly starting to heat up after a break in the calendar. There have been quiet times here for a few weeks whilst Stuart took a trip to the UK to continue his study on course building at the very beautiful Hartbury. Thank you to the EA for their assistance.

Stuart was also on the hunt for horses, which took him to France, Germany and Holland- Lots of fast driving I believe! Plus a small stop off in Paris with his best mate Shane Rose and family! After riding over 30 horses there was finally a decision and two mares from Germany (show jumpers 1.30 horses) were chosen - one of which has been bought by our very long standing owners Kathy Ward and Pete O ‘Connell.

Stuart also made a trip to Hara’s du Pin Normandy, the test event for a day. He felt that it was good to get a feel of the event plus look at the terrain and ground JUST in case he gets to see it again in 2014!

The beautiful Le Hara’s National du Pin – a wonderful setting for the trot up

While Stuart was away Gemma was very busy winning riding King at the Zone 23 one day event plus at Camden Interschools where she won the 90 and 1m classes and Northholm Grammar won the small school Championships.

Oh nearly forgot to add that we managed to get away for our annual family ski weekend- the snow was great- very slippery as you can see from our family pics!

With our fairly heavy commitment to pony club and Interschools, we were given the opportunity to sponsor a jump for our local club which would be on display most weekends- We managed to get CopRice on board too and the result was fabulous-thank you.

Thanks to CopRice for our new sponsored rider gear which Stuart and Sydney are modeling below
