Gemma at the recent Hunter Trails at Wallaby Hill
Recently, putting out a newsletter with not much news seemed a bit pointless.
Waiting for some 'good news' to come has taken a while but maybe, just maybe if we all band together and do right by COVID, we will event again very soon
With Quirindi looming as a National event on the 22nd and 23rd August, some of our horses who have not been eventing in 2020 will feel the chill! So we’re praying for good behavior and weather as well as hoping the excitement is not too much for everyone!
We know that Sydney@ SIEC is scheduled for 5th/6th September which is also great news for us eventers. COVID certainly has not slowed us up with training our horses.
Stuart is now weight bearing after six months of a troublesome broken foot so we have had to band together here at TE but one positive outcome is that us girls get to ride some of the best horses in the Country (biased!) and that alone personally I have enjoyed immensely
Robert at his first outing
Robert is for sale
We know you are all interested in our Melbourne International 3DE prize! Shout out to Zoe Hutchinson for breaking him in and doing his first outing at cross country schooling
'Robert' such a great attitude. PLUS, he is FOR SALE
2 x pics of Robert
This super little chestnut was the star of show at a recent cross country clinic, jumping all the 80cm jumps without fear!
Please contact us if any of you are interested in a well-bred and lovely mannered young horse (3 years old in November)
We can't thank Zoe Hutchinson for taking 'Bob' and starting him is such a kind and loving way.
This brings us to which events do we go to, plus who rides which horse! With Stuart only just coming back to work, Gemma will take the reins of some of our younger horses.
Stuart plans to ride his top horses 'Celebration' and 'Leporis' plus 'Sir Pepper' when he is up for a third ride (Sydney @ SIEC). The horses which need to compete are the three just mentioned, plus 'Daisy' 'Dalenna Daydream' and 'Wasabi'. Gemma has her own as well, 'Diabolo' and 'Wanda’.
That’s the team right now.
Gemma did get the chance to do some showjumping and cross country with 'Daisy' and 'DD' at the recent Hunter Trails at Wallaby Hill and she has competed Wasabi in the past.
CALENDAR
QUIRINDI: 22nd/23rd AUG: DD, DAB, CHARLIE, WASABI and DAISY
SYDNEY @ SIEC: 5th/6th SEPT: DAISY, DD, DAB, CHARLIE, LEO and PEPPER.
At this stage Gemma will do FEI events (and lead ups) with Wanda. This gives Wanda the chance with her new part time rider Tia Richardson! One lucky girl (Wanda that is!!!!)
Just also a shout out to our amazing sponsors and owners who have ALL given us so much support and encouragement during this disastrous year for everyone. You ALL mean so much to us and our horses. HORSELAND, COPRICE, CEVA, BATES plus Proteq and Ecomist. Elisabeth Brinton, Tim Game, Kerry Blair (A Wheller) THANK-YOU
