From Equestriad to Interschools

      L-R Northholm Equestrian Team- Jane Wilcox, Sarah Bourne, Gemma and Macy Reen

We can’t believe that we are half way through 2013 - the last few weeks have been busy. At Equestriad ( Camden) all the horses went well with wins for War Hawk and Wyandah Rolly, 2nd for Annapurna, a 4th for Kathy Wards new purchase, Whoosh and Gemma 5th in her first 1 star.

For those who wondered what happened to My Thai (eliminated) – well it happens to the best! Stuart missed the last fence in the show jumping- possibly losing the class.

      Lots of ribbons at Coona!

Gemma is keeping us busy with her riding schedule - the highlight being the Coonabarabran horse EXPO. I must admit we really enjoy this Interschools event and this year was no exception –Gemma’s school with its four attendees winning ribbons in every section!! Of course Gem’s best achievement was winning the 6 Bar (out of 180 starters!)

Gemma's results;

2nd A grade eventing – 5th team six bar – individual winner 6 bar – 2nd, 3rd, 4th and reserve champion 15 year open show jumping – 4th pair of riders (with Macy Reen), 4th team of 4 riders (with Sarah Bourne, Macy Reen and Emily Lambert.)

On returning from Coona- Gemma then rode at the Sydney Winter show jumping Championships- where she took out 2nd in the 1.10m and rode really well in the 1.15m open. While Gemma was busy show jumping (mounted Games on the Sunday!) Stuart and Jaymee went off to Berrima with a team of horses. Across the board they all went well.

John and Jane Pittard’s Annapurna 2nd in the 1 star - Corinna and Darren Huskinson’s War Hawk, who was a little naughty in the dressage came in 5th – redeeming himself with double clear jumping rounds-Jaymee 9th EV105 ( 2nd Junior) on Scenic wood and Susie Clapton’s Rolly winning his class, two events in a row! My Thai had an altercation with a flag picking up 20 faults

As you can see from the photos the POINT 2 blow up air vest got  a workout at Berrima but fortunately no canisters were used this weekend!

We have a quiet few weeks ahead – school holidays so lessons and a clinic maybe keep an eye on the Tinney Eventing clinic page.

We would like to thank all our sponsors and owners for their continued support as without all of you we could not have the success we have to this day: CopRice, Bates, Horseland, Nature Vet/CEVA, Ecomist, Kingsland and HIDEZ suits.

Also our wonderful owners: Tim Game, John and Jane Pittard, Corinna and Darren Huskinson and Wyandah Stud.
