Celebrating #MySydney2000
We hope you enjoyed our own personal celebrations of #MySydney2000 on social media platforms (no apologies if it became a bit too much!)
Thank you for indulging us but we felt that this moment in time, 20 years ago now, needed to be re-lived as it marked one of the most incredible Olympic Games in history - 'The Best Olympics Games Ever’.
It wasn’t just in our sport but the whole two weeks of sport was so special on home soil, and it was of course topped with GOLD for the eventing team plus Australia was on TOP of the medal tally! Celebrations went on and on for all medallists afterwards - we were exhausted!
At that point in our lives we were the parents of young children and wrangling Jaymee and Gemma throughout the lead up, during and after was also medal deserving, I recall 
Jaymee (left) always being obliging ... not sure I could say the same for Gemma!!!!
Fingers crossed for a return to competition
We are holding our breaths plus crossing all fingers and toes in the hope that we are off to Canberra Horse Trials in a few weeks with our team of horses, not only hoping to run a bit of their blubber off but ours too!
Celebration, Leporis and Daisy will run in the 4* and Sir Pepper in the 3* with Stuart while Gemma will ride Diabolo in the 4* and Dalenna Daydream (DD) in the 3*.
But before we head into the ACT, we have a Hunter Trial next weekend (26th/27th Sept) so we will take all of the above horses to do cross country and show jumping in preparation. We thank the Organising Committees for getting this off the ground with all the COVID restrictions in place
