Due to the weather forecast, some changes were made to the schedule for Saturday's cross country day at the Steelworks Construction Queensland International 3 Day Event with the start time being pushed back one hour to 9am and the International classes getting underway first.
But the forecast storms never really came, and the ground held up well for competitors across the classes all day although the rain certainly came down that night, causing the national level cross country classes on Sunday to be cancelled
Luckily the International levels were able to complete Sophie Fox and her thoroughbred Mr Pig made the journey from Victoria worthwhile, following up their fast cross country run on Saturday with just one rail in the show jumping to secure the win in the CCI4*-L
Andrew Barnett and Go Tosca led the CCI4*-S from go to whoa for a win, finishing with a clear round in the show jumping and Teegan Ashby won the CCI3*-S on board Magic Mushroom TAE
Another visitor from NSW, Olivia Barton did the double, winning both the CCI3*-L on Henrik APH and the CCI2*-L on APH Sudoku
