An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country at
NSW State Championships at Lynton, Goulburn - find out more here
Emma Bishop is on track for back to back wins at the Lynton Horse Trials in Goulburn where her 11-year-old mare CP Issey Miyake is currently in the lead of the CCI4*-S
The pair won the NSW State Championship 4* class here last year and are coming off a recent win at Tamworth CCI4*S; this year they lead on a score of 25.80 ahead of two Olympic medallists, Stuart Tinney riding Celebration (26.50) and Megan Jones riding Kirby Park Impress (27.40)
Emma’s husband Gordon was another Bishop leading the charge after the dressage, with a score of 32.40 in the CCI3*-S riding Advantage Hill but a rail in the afternoon’s show jumping dropped them to sixth place and Georgia Tivendale moved into the lead on board Star Allure with a score of 33.10 at the end of the first day

Victoria’s Andrew Cooper riding the seven year old Manhattan leads the CCI2*-S on a score of 26.40 after dressage and show jumping – not a bad start for the horse’s international career – while his partner Madeline Wilson is also at the top of a class, currently leading the EvA95B on board Cil Dara Dexter with a fantastic dressage score of 19
Sam Jeffree riding Santoro (also known as Sam)and Maddie Nelson riding Pablo Cruize are in equal second place of this class on a score of 24.2 and we caught up with the Sams after watching some of their test (by the way, anyone want to buy a share in Sam and Sam's syndicate ....??)
Another one to impress the dressage judges today was Judy Clarke riding Uka in the CCN1*A with a 24.50, well ahead of second placed Cathryn Herbert riding Springs Black Jack HSH on a score of 31 while Sam Lyle leads the CCI1*B riding Delarno NPE (26) after dressage and show jumping
Edward Wakatama leads the EvA95 riding Glamorgan By Design (28.7) and Alexander Seppelt riding the experienced campaigner Fairview Metallica leads the EvA95 Junior
Happy! Edward Wakatama and Glamorgan By Design
Today’s cool conditions will be replaced by a warm 27 degrees tomorrow for cross country and more show jumping but first this evening everyone was welcomed to the newly wrapped and extended Tinney Eventing truck (take a quick look around on our Instagram story), for a sausage sizzle, thanks to one of the event sponsors and long-time Tinney Eventing supporter, Coprice!
