It’s time for Tamworth!

Almost 400 riders will be competing at the Australian Equine and Livestock Centre this weekend in Tamworth, with the purpose-built centre five hours north of Sydney and pleasant winter climate making it a very popular venue.

Tamworth International Eventing’s second event of the year hosts National level classes only, with 14 sections from EvA50 to CCN4*. While there are just five competitors in the 4*, all other sections are pretty much full, with some ‘ones to watch’ the 1*, 2* and 3* sections.

Shane Rose is back after helping Australia secure team qualification for Paris 2024, with his own The Bandit in the 3* and Duke of Hastings and Holy Moses, both horses normally ridden by Shenae Lowings, in the 2*

Andrew Barnett has good horses in the 4*, 3* and 2*, Melbourne International 3 Day winner Olivia Barton has some horses here after a little break and Jess Somerfield’s Finch Farm Carpenteria, who took third place in the CCI3*-L at Adelaide Equestrian Festival earlier this year, is making his debut at 4* level.

Tamworth Eventing’s 2nd event of the year in July hosts National level classes from EvA50 to CCN4* at the Australian Equine & Livestock Events Centre, Tamworth | An Eventful Life
