The riders competing at the Wandin Park One Day Event on Saturday needed a strong sense of humour, horses happy in the mud and clean dry clothes to change into after competing in what was, at times, torrential rain. Some hardy souls slept in their floats overnight, determined to carry on the next day but they were limited to showjumping on Sunday as the experienced organisers decided to cancel the cross country phase due to the conditions.
