The wind dropped, the sun came out and so did the crowd for the second day of dressage at the Sydney 3DE. The organisers had also teed up a day of other activities including the Australian Young Horse Championship and WEG Sport Demos from the ParaEquestrian team members Sharon Jarvis, Nicole Kullen and Grace Bowman and Grand Prix demonstration.
The highlight of the day however was the Special WEG class dressage with contenders for the Australian team strutting their stuff in fine form. By the end of the day Megan Jones was leading the field with Jester on 44.30. Next of the Aussies came Stuart Tinney on Vettori on 52.70 - Stuart was also in fifth place on Panamera on 55.50 and 8th on Watermark Grayson on 56.00. Chris Burton and Holstein Park Leilani took 4th spot on 55.20 , Megan 6th on her second horse Kirby Park Allofasudden and Sonja Johnson 9th (Jaguar) and 10th (Parkiarrup Illicit Liaison). Amanda Ross rounded up the Australians in 11th spot on Koyuna Tora Bora on 61.80 and NZ WEG hopeful Clarke Johnstone had a good day finshing in 2nd place on 52.20.
In the 3 Star competition, Heath Ryan is leading the dressage (as you would expect) on Mystery Whisper.
